The Match Play Challenge is the major gifts element of our annual Par Club fundraising campaign. Each year, our generous Match Play Partners make commitments of $50,000 or greater to the campaign. Those funds are pooled together and used to match the gifts of $2,500 and greater we receive.
This initiative has been a game-changer for young caddies nationwide. Our supporters have made more than $130 million in commitments through the Match Play Challenge since it launched for the first time in 2011. Those critical funds have enabled us to provide more young men and women with the life-changing opportunity of a college education.
As families everywhere struggle to meet the rising cost of college tuition, the success of the Match Play Challenge is more critical than ever. Our annual program costs are $27 million, and we project that figure to rise by at least $1.5 million each year moving forward.
In addition to increasing the number of Scholars in school, we're working to establish the Evans Scholars Program at additional universities, provide community living opportunities for all Evans Scholars and develop a full continuum of support that includes everything from caddie training programs to career mentorship. Please help us reach our goals by joining the Match Play Challenge today.
