Endowed Named ScholarshipThe most meaningful way to honor a friend or loved one and to provide permanent support to the Evans Scholars Program is through the establishment of a Endowed Named Scholarship with a gift of $125,000 to the Roland McGuigan Endowment Fund, the Evans Scholars’ fund for the future. With a contribution at that level, a memorial Scholarship would be created in your friend or loved one’s name, and every four years an incoming freshman Evans Scholar, from a geographical area or country club of your choosing, would be awarded that designation, which would follow them throughout their four-year college career. The contribution would be recognized each year in the Leader Board Honor Roll, the annual publication of the Roland F. McGuigan Endowment Fund, which is distributed to more than 34,000 Par Club members. The Leader Board Honor Roll is also utilized frequently as a separate informational piece for the Roland F. McGuigan Endowment Fund. The family would be invited to participate in the selection of the designee from a pool of qualified Scholars. This can be a very rewarding experience, as benefactors often get to know their named Scholars. Additional giving opportunities exist within the Roland F. McGuigan Endowment Fund. Gifts of $1,000 or more are recognized each year in the Leader Board Honor Roll in the Donors Report. As an endowed fund, the principal is invested and only the earnings used each year for the Scholar expenses. |
