Western Junior

A testing ground for tomorrow's stars

The Western Junior is the oldest national junior tournament in the United States. It draws the top junior players from more than 40 states and internationally each year. The field is limited to 156 entrants. The 2014 championship will be held June 16-20 at Flossmoor Country Club in Flossmoor, Ill.

2013 Western Junior Winner: KK Limbhasut 

KK Limbhasut, of Loma Linda, California, strung together three straight sub-70 rounds to win the 97th Western Junior championship at Flossmoor Country Club on June 20, 2014.

Limbhasut, who will play at Cal next year, fired a  a 10-under 278 total, which included a course record-tying 66 on June 19. He was one of five players who either tied or set a new course record during championship week.
