Changing the Course of a Lifetime
Thousands of people in the golf community rally for the cause of the Evans Scholars Foundation - sending hard-working caddies in financial need to college. With the costs of college continuing to increase, we need your help more than ever. The Western Golf Association is inviting donors in 2014 to help meet the rising costs of sending caddies to college through the WGA-sponsored Evans Scholarships.
Later this year, we will formally launch the fourth installment Match Play Challenge, the WGA’s major gifts campaign. Throughout 2014, we will again ask our generous Match Play Challenge partners to pledge to match all Par Club gifts of $2,500 or greater. The Match Play Challenge is your chance to make a major investment in the future leaders of our communities at a time when the need for an Evans Scholarship is greater than ever. We received 731 applications last year alone.

In addition to the Match Play Challenge, the major gifts campaign includes a corresponding outreach to encourage basic Par Club members to renew at higher giving levels, moving from the $250 Par level to Birdie at $500, Eagle at $750, Hole-in-One at $1,000 or at the major gift level of Silver at $2,500 or higher.
There are a number of other ways you can give the gift of an Evans Scholarship. You can make an outright contribution by check or credit card, or make a pledge that can be fulfilled over several years. You can become a Par Club member. You can lend your support to our endowment fund or to a specific capital campaign. You can volunteer or mentor one of our Scholars.
Be a part of golf's #1 charity by making your tax-deductible contribution today! Be a driving force in the lives of deserving caddies. It just might help your golf game along the way.

The most meaningful way to honor a loved one and provide permanent support to the Evans Scholars Program is through the establishment of an Endowed Named Scholarship.
In addition to raising vital support for scholarships, we conduct periodic major campaigns to secure funding for capital projects, including the construction and renovation of Scholarship Houses.
Planned giving options allow you to leave a lasting legacy. With a bit of planning, you have the opportunity to make a gift that will have a great impact on the Evans Scholars Foundation.
All gifts, of any amount, given to the Evans Scholars Foundation, can be made in memory of, or in honor of a loved one.
